Foodie Fleet

My first stop at the food truck round up was at “Foodie Fleet”, a small truck operated by two guys. Foodie Fleet specializes in pressed sandwiches or Panini’s and waffles. My first impression was the menu boards displayed on the side of the truck, they were easy to read and eye catching. They did not have a line of customers waiting for food so I was not sure if that was a good omen or not. I noticed their special was a Spanish Schnitzel sandwich so I decided to give that a try, the guys in the truck were very friendly and accommodating.  The sandwich was made quickly and they were kind enough to slice it into three portions so I could easily share it with my two foodie partners, Liz and Tony. The potato bun was soft and delicious; I could tell it was freshly baked. The chicken was pounded thin and breaded with Panko bread crumbs and was seasoned nicely. Overall it was a really nice dish for $7.00, I was impressed with the service as well as the food and would highly recommend “Foodie Fleet” to my fellow food truck followers. You can follow them on Facebook/foodie-fleet and twitter@foodiefleet.
